Planet of Plenty LLC helps expand the reach and impact of World Without Cows

New entity amplifies science-based storytelling and advocacy

What would the world be like without cows?

It’s a question that seems simple, but the answer is anything but. Cows are deeply woven into the fabric of our lives: our food systems, our economy, our culture and our environment. Yet, as global conversations around sustainability and climate change grow more polarized, the role of cows in our world has become a topic of heated debate.

The feature-length documentary World Without Cows explores the complexity behind a seemingly simple question: “Are we better off in a world without cows?” Through interviews with a diverse range of scientists, academics, farmers and others, World Without Cows takes viewers on a global journey to deepen their understanding of everything cows contribute — and what the world might look like without them.

Through screenings at film festivals and events worldwide, World Without Cows is already making an impact, sparking meaningful discussion about the vital role cows play in feeding the world, sustaining livelihoods and shaping ecosystems.

Planet of Plenty LLC — a new entity dedicated to science-led storytelling and advocacy — is helping to expand the documentary’s reach and impact. The initiative builds on Alltech’s Working Together for a Planet of Plenty® vision, which unites the agri-food community in creating a more sustainable and abundant future.

While most families had ties to agriculture just two generations ago, many people today lack firsthand exposure to how the world’s food is produced. This disconnect can lead to misconceptions and oversimplified narratives about agriculture’s environmental impact, the role of farmers in creating climate solutions, and the complexity of feeding a growing population while protecting natural resources.

Through powerful storytelling, advocacy and educational initiatives, Planet of Plenty LLC aims to bridge that gap, supporting initiatives that amplify agriculture’s vital role in creating a sustainable future. As a collaborative hub, it will unite voices within the agri-food industry and beyond to elevate science-based narratives, advocate for agri-food producers, and inspire sustainable solutions for the future.
